ICF Prairie has a special announcement about how we will celebrate this year’s ICF Prairie Prism Awards, which recognize excellence in professional coaching.
Looking ahead, our chapter is excited to revamp the celebration to be more inclusive, accessible, and deeply aligned with our mission to elevate the coaching profession within our communities! This year, we’re taking a fresh approach. Instead of a traditional gala, we’ll honor our nominees and award winners during ICF Coaching Week and an event on the evening of Thursday, May 15. We will celebrate through:
  • Announcements highlighting the achievements of nominees and winners.
  • A virtual celebration where we come together to honor their contributions on Thursday, May 15 evening.
  • Community and social media spotlights to share their inspiring stories far and wide.
This year’s fresh approach lets us shine a brighter light on the incredible impact of coaching within our communities while fostering connection and engagement across our chapter.
Award categories include the following organization types:
  • Private Sector – Organizations operating for profit; not owned or controlled by government.
  • Public Sector – Includes but not limited to: Crown Corporations and Government Agencies, Schools, Libraries. Organizations owned and operated by government and exist to provide services for its citizens.
  • Not-for-Profit – Refers to a non-profit organization or a charity.
Award categories for each organization type also distinctly recognizes small (1-99 employees), medium (100-499 employees), and large (500+ employees).
Interested applicants must communicate their intent to submit a nomination no later than March 1 at 9:00am CT to icfprairie@gmail.com. And final documents for nominations are due March 14 at 9:00am CT.
We’ll keep you updated with details on how you can get involved in the celebrations and help us honor the best in coaching during ICF Coaching Week!
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to contribute or have any questions.
ICF Prairie Prism Award Nomination Form

Our Prism Awards History

Since 2015, our chapter has hosted four Prism Award events to honour recipients from organizations demonstrating growth of their leaders through coaching. As the former ICF Saskatchewan, we held three in-person events, and as ICF Prairie we held both a virtual event in 2021 to celebrate past Prism recipients and an in-person celebration of two new recipients in 2022.

Our chapter member coaches have nominated recipients who have included organizations in these categories: not-for-profit, provincial public, national public, and private.

I joined the ICF Prairie to find a community of coaches that could help me grow professionally and in my business. I volunteered to be a community support coach and then for a position on the board. I ended up with amazing friends and colleagues. Get involved, you have so much to gain!

Jackie McConaghy, CEC, PCC

I joined ICF Sask when I was new to the business of coaching. As a result, I have built lifelong relationships with colleagues interested and curious to learn and grow professionally and personally. Having worked solo for most of my career, these connections have been invaluable and inspiring. This, in addition to training and events, advertising benefits and opportunities to volunteer are why I continue my membership with ICF Sask.

Wendy Turner-Larsen, PCC

I joined the ICF Prairie Chapter to find a community of people to learn and grow with in my coaching journey. I found much more than I anticipated. I found a diverse group of extremely caring and professional people. This community has been essential to my growth as a coach and a human being over the last 4 years. It is because of the depth of experience and character in our members.

The call to action should be first to discover the benefit of a great community of people in our chapter. The second is that we aren’t meant to do life and business alone. There are lots of possibilities to learn and grow together and this chapter is one place to discover just that.

Jeff Lobb, ACC

I joined the ICF back in 2011. I was starting up my coaching business and desperately needed local colleagues. I found a wonderful community in the Prairie ICF group. As a matter of fact, a large number of the members became participants in my doctoral dissertation, and I am deeply grateful. My business has benefited from the networking and referrals making the membership fee easily pay for itself. Over a decade later, I am still happy to be part of the chapter, especially for the friendships.
