Biography
Danielle Fullan Kolton, Ph.D., is an accomplished leader and educator with over 25 years of experience spanning K-12 and post-secondary teaching, leadership development, coaching, consulting, facilitation, and research analysis. She is dedicated to partnering with leaders, teams, and organizations to achieve their full potential through tailored executive coaching, consulting, and development. She brings a multidisciplinary approach to leadership development, combining her varied skillsets to foster growth in emotional intelligence and impactful leadership. Danielle’s commitment to lifelong learning has earned her academic credentials including a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Transformative Teaching, Leading, and Learning) and a Bachelor of Education, both from the University of Manitoba. She also has a Master of Arts in Education (Administration) from San Diego State University and certifications in Executive Coaching and Excellence in Executive Leadership from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. Danielle’s leadership journey includes notable roles such as Executive Director of The Manitoba Teachers’ Society (MTS), where she oversaw operations for the union representing over 16,600 public education teachers. In her eleven years with MTS, she also worked in the capacity of Assistant Executive Director, Department Head for Professional Services, and Education Research Analyst. A prolific communicator and thought leader, Danielle has authored over 25 published articles for *The Newsmagazine* of The Manitoba Teachers’ Society and other wellness publications. She is also energized by her speaking engagements at conferences across Canada for her expertise in effective communication; conflict management; the head, heart, and hands of leadership; women in leadership; team development; and navigating dilemmas of practice. Danielle’s governance experience includes serving on boards such as the Canadian Teachers’ Federation, the Manitoba Federation of Labour, St. Mary’s Academy, and the Learning Forward Foundation. Through her dynamic career spanning education reform, safeguarding of professional status, organizational leadership, and advocacy for public education, Danielle Fullan Kolton is passionate about people and processes. She embodies leadership rooted in her values of growth, connection, integrity, communication, and courage. Together with her partner of 30 years, Danielle delights in watching their three children navigate adulthood. COVID kitties, Leo and Leni, also provide endless entertainment.
